Way to go Elder Holland! and I also loved Elder Scott. I feel like I need to reveiew them all since I mostly remember the ones that I just watched! We haven't watched Saturday's yet-we had baseball:(
And Elder RObbins will alwyas hold a special place in our hearts. We went to BYU with his son and DIL and he spoke in our ward a lot. Loved his To Be or Not To Be?
agreed with all of phoebe's, elder cook gave a great talk yesterday on women as well. i was weepy all through elder scott's talk. whenever he talks about his wife i get weepy.
It's kind of hard for us to pay close attention these days. Theo actually really likes to watch conference but while Ida will sit and watch for a while, she is more of a handful. I probably digested about half of what we watched. Fortunately we can listen to it all again on mp3 in the car! (what I have done the past few years...love it. great for commutes and my kids actually like listening to it too.)
I really loved the talk on Sunday morning about adversity/trials making us stronger. I'm not exactly sure of the guy's name. Paul V. Johnson maybe??
Also, I loved Elder Scott's thoughts on marriage and I pretty much cried my eyes out at his story about his little son. Did you know that they also had a baby daughter who died just weeks before the little boy died??
I remember the conference when he told that story! We met him in the Celestial Room at the dedication of the Cochabamba Temple when we went - his Spanish is really beautiful - in fact, he sounds more moving in Spanish to my way of thinking.
And I wonder if he had a sister or a niece who went to France with me? I know Scott is a common name, but she looked just like him!

Elder Bednar is now my new favorite speaker but also Elder Holland was great. In fact both days were great!
