Another gray, cool day greeted us this a.m., so we took advantage again and went to Monrovia Canyon and hiked to the falls.

I was computing that it was 31 years ago that I first did this hike - and I was with Harry - and Damond - it was a Cub Scout activity.

Phoebe was also remembering that Harry came to this spot to open up his mission call when it came. He came by himself, then came home and had a FHE activity where we tried to guess where he was going.

The falls are "smallish" but just right for kids to splash in.

I can't even remember how many times I have hiked this hike, but it's a very large number of times!!

And it's a half hour away from our house!!

It's nearly impossible to get a grandkids picture where everyone is happy to be in it!!

Sully loved riding in Mom's pack.

And after, we enjoyed a little picnic. Agnes commented, "It's so quiet here." And it was quiet - except for the birds!!

There is something about Mother Nature that the theme parks just haven't captured!!

The grandkids can attest to that!
