Jell-O

Last week I decided to make an old family favorite to go with dinner. Good old fashioned Jell-O. In the past I have not been able to do justice by this All American fare, but this time it actually set up and the bananas settled where they are supposed to, as opposed to resting on top or sinking to the bottom.
And to top it off, literally, Mom's secret recipe of Marshmallows and Sour cream. The family didn't love it as much as I did, but it was a tasty treat for me! And it reminded me that Mom will be here in one week. Then I will be able to request all manner of my favorite childhood foods.
Homemade mac'n'cheese
Pork Chops and Golden Mushroom Soup
Tuna salad with green beans (I know that no one else in my family will appreicate this delicacy)
Burritos
Lemon Pie
