Warm and Cozy

Sometimes I wish I had a cat to curl up and sleep on top of my feet, at the end of the bed.

But it would have to be Cosmo!!

Feline Felicity

Hannah posted about Cosmo the other day. And I commented that I often see cats that look eerily like him. And I do a little double take - and then remember that it couldn't possibly be Cosmo - too many years have passed.

But it's still eerie.

Especially when you look at this shot - and see Cosmo's strange eyes - product of bad lighting and excessive flash I guess, but spooky anyway. (Bruce's "closed eyes" are a little spooky too!)

We all loved Cosmo - I think Hannah gets credit for loving him more - but that is mostly family lore - we all were devastated when he disappeared.

He left pretty much the way he came - roaming along Primrose - being taken in by strangers. Well, actually, some woman was walking down Primrose holding him as a kitten. She said, "Does anyone here recognize this kitten?" When we said no, she said, "I think he belongs on this street." And then she left him there - down by the large tree that grows into the street.

I remember Harry F. saying, "If you let us keep him, I promise to get my Eagle." So I let us keep him - and Harry got his Eagle.

It's a good story - and it's true!
