We may be home, but the adventures continue. Well, maybe adventure is a bit strong, but we do stay occupied around here!
For starters, we're back to visits from the Harry, Dawn and kids! There's something about hearing Eve come in the back door shouting, "Grandma, Grandpa, I'm here!" that can really make your day - even if she won't smile for the camera!
Harry likes to come over when Dawn is working - maybe for the adult conversation!!
which he dumps out all over the floor - but baby Harry doesn't mind - and I will say that Eve and Porter are really good about picking up the toys they get out.
And this Sunday, we also enjoyed a visit from Robbie's folks, Diane and David - they were in the greater LA area and Robbie thought they ought to stop by and meet us! It was a great idea - we had dinner with Harry, Dawn and family; Noah and Greg were there too.
We had a great time and felt like we'd known each other for years. They had some interesting stories to tell us - and we shared a few too! They thought Monrovia was a charming city too, and on the way to Harry and Dawn's I gave them a bit of a tour.
After dinner, I had to rush home to a presidency meeting - and when I got there, Amy and Elizabeth were waiting on the porch - but in my haste, I had taken Harry's keys - and didn't have a house key. Fortunately I did have a phone, so I called Harry to have him bring me a house key - but he didn't have his either, so Dawn had to find hers. Amy, Elizabeth and I sat in the patio and sweltered until Harry got there!!
Now doesn't that sound adventurous??
