It's always about the hair!!

7th grade - I could use some help - not sure about that front pin curl - maybe they were in style??

I've got some persistent waves in my hair - it still does the above!!  I think this was 9th grade - which was not high school for me.

Pixie cuts worked for several years for me - while I was young and thin - but then again, when you are young and thin, it pretty much doesn't matter what your hair looks like!

I think this is 6th grade - pretty ridiculous - not sure what I was thinking - or if I was thinking!!

This is 8th grade - those curls have a life of their own, don't they?

My hair stylist moved away a few years ago, but she came back monthly for many years.  Last December, however, she quit coming back monthly.  So I haven't had my hair cut for a while now.

Not sure what I am going to do.

Maybe grow it out?  Maybe not?

I should just lose 20 lbs. - or even 10 lbs. - and I suspect my hair would look better!!

Happy Birthday to me!!

Every year I have a lovely birthday - thanks to family and friends who make it a point to help me celebrate in fine style.  And there are always grandchildren willing to help blow out all those candles.

Isla found those old baby doll bassinets I used to crochet - back in the day - and decided one of them made a perfect chapeau for Deacon!!  There was a lot of laughter over it too!  It's been awhile - no one but me knew what it really was!

Once again a plethora of good friends sent me cards - don't you love a mantle full of cards??

Here's to a great new year ahead!!

More birthday fun!!

Well, the fun never stops around here!! When I got to school on Monday, Marcie said, "I was going to bring you a cake, but I had a migraine. So I will bring one tomorrow." I told her she really didn't have to, but she was determined.

Here I am with Anna May, one of the Girls of '45.

Marcie had decorated it with fondant - to look like a stack of books.

It was pretty great - almost too pretty to cut!! (But we ate it anyway!!)

Sue Graham brought over roses in a lovely little red pitcher.

And Arlene brought chocolate and yellow balloons!! Lots of birthday cards too!!

Maybe I should call it the Merry Month of Maybar!!
