One season ends

and another never seems to end. (I'm referring to fire season.)

Esme' had her last game of the season last Saturday. She was VERY excited to get her trophy. Sometimes I think that is the sole reason behind her desire to play soccer. Ara was supposed to have her playoffs today. They were canceled due to very poor air quality. So we are feasting on watermelon, cheese, juice and cookies as I was in charge of snack for Ara's game.

Get A Clue

A couple of Saturdays ago, Aunts Donna and Mary took my older girls to see Nancy Drew.

What a treat.

Annika and I walk around the promenade - checked out the musical acts (of which there are quite a few on the weekend) and the Farmer's Market.

Most Excellent.

Boysenberry Jam, Anyone?

Since I have been so slow at blogging lately, thought I'd share some pix from Ella's class trip to Knott's Berry Farm.

Mr. Knott was the one who created, or rather developed, the boysenberry you know.

Sa-wing Batter, Batter

Here's another pic from the game of the girls with grandpapa.

And of the view from their seats.

I think they were pretty okay.

Father and Son

I woke up in a daze at 9:30 a.m. (9:30! Nine-thirty!) on Saturday to this lovely sight.

That's Theo and Matt, back from the fathers and sons outing.

Fathers' and sons'? Father's and son's?

Anyway they went. They didn't camp overnight (although I would have been fine with it if Matt had wanted to, but as Matt likes to explain, "He doesn't like my milk as much as he likes Eliza's") but they went to the breakfast. It gave me some much-needed sleep. Thanks, Matt!

Oh yeah and I'm sure they had fun.

And it wasn't against Theo's will as far as we know, despite what this picture may imply.
