"When the family gets together - on Sundays anyway!!"

Sunday night dinner always involves some playing in the family room.  And reading and lounging too!

Cheerful Deacon - always brings a smile with him - and a smile to us too!

This Sunday included a visit from Alice, who is here to spend a few days with Mom.  She's already been hard at work too, making curtains and the like.

This Sunday also included a visit from Karen, who came to spend time with Grandma Terrill.  We've enjoyed having her here - livens up the empty nest!

Work on his rental has brought Bryan to Monrovia the last few weeks - we love that too!

We were glad Noah and Taylor could join us.

It was a bit noisy - 18 people under our tiny roof can reverberate - but it was good noise for sure!!

Deacon charmed everyone - a job he does well.

It's always nice to gather with my sisters - in any number.

Karen leaves tomorrow afternoon - Alice leaves on Thursday - and Harry and I leave for VA on Wednesday morning.

February marches on!!

Gettting summer going -

It's been hectic for the first few days of summer vacation - I've been hanging out at Harry and Dawn's or at Mom's!!  For those not in the know, Dawn had gall bladder surgery last week.  She is doing well - and I've been threatening her with dire consequences if she didn't take it easy!!

Sunday we all went out to Claremont for Porter's piano recital - and he did a great job!  In fact, in my unbiased opinion, he did the best job of all the students - and Dawn agreed with me!!

Alice and I hung out with Dawn and the kids too - Alice also did a little tutorial on the serger Dawn got last year - watch for a plethora of projects to be coming soon!  Not sure why the kids made those faces - and Harry was at his preschool.

Mary is off to Indiana, but we did get in some visiting.  Tomorrow we head out to Bonny's.  Not sure when I will start my projects - or my summer reading.

Never a dull moment anyway!

The Weekend!!

I hate to upstage the new Mr. Lars, but we did have a fun weekend, and we did take some photos!! With all the excitement, it was also Alice's visit - and we had a great time together. We walked, went to breakfast at the Peach Cafe, scoped out a new yarn store, explored Burbank trying to get back on the freeway, finally found a thrift store open that I'd been passing for what seems like years, found some good deals at said thrift store, had fun at Target, got ready for Sunday, fixed dinner for 14, had dinner with 14, and enjoyed the thrill of hearing that Eliza was on the way to the hospital - and then getting the good news!

Eve and Grandma Mary discovered they were color-co-ordinated!!

Do Dad and I look tired? I think we are tired!

Grandma Mary with the " Terrill boys!"

Alice and I with Mom.

Mom's eyes are closed, but it's the only shot with all of us girls who were in attendance!

Miss Isla with her dad - she is turning into a regular little miss - charming everyone who encounters her! Dawn had to leave to go to the Young Womanhood Recognition program. But she brought gingerbread with lemon sauce - yum!

Alice is back at Mom's - so glad we could connect even briefly before I needed to leave. I'm doing all the last-minute stuff before I can go.

Not sure how much posting I will do - I am taking my photo cable so I will at least have the possibility. But even if you hear nothing, I will probably be having a great time with the East Coast Contingent!!

Even if I'm "melting" in the heat and humidity - it will be worth it!
