Spring Break - 2014

Spring Break brought me to Lake Oswego and the wonderful Fillmore family!!  The kids had had their spring break the week before, but it's fun to be in on getting to school in the a.m.,  baseball practices, piano lessons, homework, bedtimes, and going out to dinner - especially Burgerville!!

Every trip to Portland now includes a visit to Fabric Depot - Phoebe should never have introduced me to its wonders.  We also did a little sewing and cutting out and mending - this was my "station" - a scenic little spot where I could even watch T.V. if I was so inclined!! Phoebe's new sewing machine is really great!

Sully and Agnes had the fewest "required" places to be - so I spent lots of time with them.  And Agnes and I shared a room too!!

Loved this little "Gnome Door" that appeared in Phoebe's yard last year on her birthday.  I want to replicate it here at home!!  Maybe the gnomes would come to visit too!

A special part of my visit was trekking out to see Ry and Sarah.  Ry is doing better - it was good to see him getting stronger!!  And Sarah treated us to some Purim treats - always great to see the Nebekers!!  And a big thank you to Phoebe for going with me - it's a trek indeed - and it's always good to have a fun companion on a trek!!  (Sully came too!)

Got to the airport this morning and realized that I didn't have any pictures of Phoebe - or David for that matter - but he was out of town most of the time I was there, so that's my excuse.  (He's not always keen on getting his photo taken either!!)  So I snapped a photo at the airport!!  Phoebe is truly a hostess with the mostest!!  I should have taken a shot of her traditional hostess basket that is always in my room - Cadbury eggs, 2 magazines I hadn't read yet,  a custom water bottle, a new loufah and body wash, and round playing cards!!  She knows me like a book!!

Thanks to all the Fillmores for a wonderful time!!  Looking forward to seeing you this summer!!
