Family time is all the time!!

My mom has had a steady stream of visitors. This time around it was Scott, Brianna, and kids, along with Fred and Joan.

Bill and Leilani joined us too for a backyard barbecue.  Fortunately the weather is much better than it was last weekend!  Bill appears to have something of a sunburn, I would say!

Joan and Fred are on their way up to see Paul and Camille and family - and to celebrate Paul's birthday.

And Scott and Brianna are on their way - and by now they are in - Hawaii - their new posting.  It's always great to see everyone - maybe the next barbecue will be in Hawaii!!

We can dream!!

Happy Birthday Betsy and Jim!!

Happy day today to our good friend and favorite mechanic - Jim McKendrick!!  I always remember his birthday for the same reason I always remember Betsy's - they are on the same day - and it's the day before my birthday!!  Jim was the Cubmaster when I was a Den Leader - if that's not a bond, I don't know what is!

I'm pretty sure I post this every year - but you've gotta admit it's a pretty cute photo!!

Betsy was born the day before my birthday - I'd been rooting for a birthday buddy, but she had her own mind!!  And a great mind it is - Betsy always amazes me with her penchant for travel and adventure and her apparent fearlessness.  To someone like me who's a fearful sort, her bravery is inspiring!

So I pretty much always remember it's her birthday - and I'm hoping it's a happy one - and that the year just keeps getting better and better!!

Multi-generational

I truly want to organize my photos - any system would be better than the chaos I have now.

I have visions of finding categories and doing arrangements, albums, or collages.

Births, blessing, baptisms, birthdays - the list is endless.

It could actually guide me in my photo taking efforts - you know, well, here's another for the multigenerational Easter shot for 2016!!

For example, I have few shots of our kids with their individual grandparents - so let's take those now!!

In the meantime I can dream anyway.

And go through my "mixed up files" and see what there is.

Weddings seem to be good times for such photo ops.

I have one photo of me with my Grandma Stevens and one with my Grandpa Clayton - and that's it.

At least I have those!!
