So, we headed out to the temple after school on Friday - as we do every first and third Friday. As we were driving, I commented that maybe it was time to buy a new car. I was saying that we could trade our car in, make payments for 3 years, and then when I retired, our car would be paid for.
Thank goodness for triple A - although we did wait more than an hour. But Bob's Towing came by to investigate the problem - to be sure we did indeed need to tow the car - we did!! Then John, our trusty tow-truck operator, came and towed us to Mac's Auto in Monrovia.
John was from Belize - and he was a most interesting conversationalist - how much do you know about Belize? (Formerly British Honduras - John is a Scot!) We know a lot more now!
Dawn rescued us with her car - and we are driving the truck this weekend.
We'll keep you posted. We were comforted to hear John say that he thought Volvos were pretty good cars - says he hardly ever sees them in accidents or needing towing. Maybe we will get a new Volvo.
We'll keep you posted!
