I am fond of telling people that I do social media to keep up with my large extended family. And I do. But I also spend a lot of time scrolling through FB and reading lots of "forwards" of often dubious origin.
And so a social media fast is a good thing - an exercise that helps me focus on what is truly important. Like my immediate family and social circle.
But October - also called Bontober by the Terrill family - features some important birthdays that I would usually celebrate on social media with words and pictures.
These birthdays include Bonny, Phoebe, Porter, Ida, and Calvin - who are duly celebrated here - if anyone reads this blog anymore!
And now with my new-found free time, and since I did a double Book of Mormon reading already today - I will go read my book - I keep finishing books I thought I would take on our trip - I may need to go get another book!!
