50 years of wedded bliss!

Late to the party - but that's the way it is around here!! 50 years together - and it's been a great 50 years - looking forward to forever!

We celebrated by going to the temple - where we had been married 50 years before - and had lunch in the temple cafeteria -with Bonny and Ara.

We are celebrating by going to Pigeon Point - a lighthouse station with a hostel - with our kids and grandkids.

Will report back!!

Homecoming!

It was so great to be at LAX to welcome Ara home from her mission. She started out in the Vladivostok, Russia Mission, but it was later dissolved.  She finished her mission in the Novosibirsk, Russia Mission. She was radiant - she had a wonderful mission - I will miss her inspiring letters!

We met with her parents and her stake president after she was released - and it was a spiritual, uplifting experience. What a blessing she is to all of us!

Ara - our first grandchild, our first missionary - what a treat!

Happy Birthday Harry Dad!

Sorting through Helen's photos this year - and clearing out the shop and finding boxes with negatives in them - I have come across some new photos of Harry - new in the sense that I haven't used them on Social Media a lot!!

Happy 73rd Birthday Harry!!

It's been a great 50 years of celebrating them with you!!

Our "first" Christmas!

Our first Christmas was spent on our honeymoon in Santa Barbara.  We got married on the 22nd, so we weren't exactly established somewhere with a tree or decorations!

Our first "real" Christmas was in Provo, on 7th West.  We strung popcorn, went to the local dime store and bought decorations, and we spray painted walnut shells gold and hung them from loops.

We went to the Rexall Drug in Provo and bought gifts for each other - it was the only store open - we each had $5 to spend!!

It was a lovely Christmas!!
