An anniversary to remember today

5 years ago today, our sweet baby Jonah finished his earthly sojourn after a brief 11 days.  It was an experience that defined our family in many good ways.

We are grateful for the chance to know him.  For the chance to share his brief life with others.  For the chance to learn first hand about the plan of happiness.

And we are grateful to be reminded each year that he is indeed a forever part of our family.

Happy Day to the lovely Miss Ida Rachel!

Ida is one fun little girl.  She loves to read, she writes great stories, she is a great conversationalist, she loves to learn to play new games, she a loving, kind, thoughtful young lady!!

 

I am excited to be able to go see her soon for her baptism!  A visit with her - and her family - is a real treat.

Birthday Buddies!!

Happy day to Phoebe - whose names means "light" and who has always brought joy and light into our lives!! She continues to bless all of our lives - and is indeed the blessing we sought as we fasted and prayed for her to come to our home!!

 

And Porter - how can he be 12? And all that means!!  We love this boy - and love being able to watch him grow and progress!

A sweet anniversary today!

Our sweet baby Jonah was born 5 years ago today.  He only lived 11 days, but he left us a lifetime of memories.

 

Each of those 11 days, we lit candles and sang "Happy Birthday" and were grateful to have that day.

Happy Day to Deacon!!

The day is not over yet - happy 3rd to this cute munchkin!!  It was fun to take him shopping at Target - where he chose a truck, of course - the kind that transport cars - so there were 5 cars on this transporter - and the box was as tall as he was!

Then we got out to the parking lot and lo, and behold, there was a real truck transporting cars - and his delight was immeasurable!!

Love that boy!!

Oh happy day!! Oh happy day!!

The little girl in "Annie" always says, "oh my goodness, oh my goodness!"  Can another year have gone by so quickly??

 

Of course it can - the years fly by - I remember this day and this truck and this snow and this little girl!!

 

And I remember her getting bigger and bigger and cuter and cuter and smarter and smarter - and I wondered where that baby girl had gone!  But the little girl in her place was charming too!

 

The teen years!! The smoky eyes.  The love of pop music.  The love of Howard Jones.  The beginning of going to concerts!! 

Sweet Sixteen!!

 

Graduating from college!!

 

Getting married!.

 

Having a family!!
