Meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Sale!

Today was Greg and Maiella's wedding day - it was a lovely ceremony.

We picked up Noah on our way, and he stayed at the Visitor's Center with David Card so Hal and Blanche could attend.

Grandma was with us too.  She has become fond of Greg and Maiella - like the rest of us!

Some Terrill grandkids were rockin' and rollin' at the reception.

Cake for the new bride and groom - we are happy for them - and look forward to the pair of them in our ward when they return from their honeymoon.

Ah, love!

5 years ago today!!

(Trying to at least use some of the vast number of wedding photos on my computer!!)

Happy day to Hannah and Robbie - it was a great day 5 years ago - and it's still a great day!!  All the Terrill weddings have their own set of memories - and they are good ones.  So glad to have a reason to be reminded to reflect on them often!

At the end of the day -

So, it's been a long day.  Started out with a facial - I love those!!  Then came home to a couple of projects that I did complete - always a good feeling with that.  Then off to the grocery store for the fixings for a barbecue with Charlie, Jeanette, Donna, and Mom.  Then a very fun evening of eating and visiting and laughing and enjoying one another's company.

And the recognition that I did not take one photograph - or serve dessert!

Summer - getting into the swing!!

I have a group of friends from my kindergarten through high school years - and periodically we get together.  And when we do, it is lots of fun!!  This last weekend we gathered at Carol's house, since Kathy was here from Florida.  We usually go to a restaurant, but when we got together in February, we decided that potluck at someone's house was much more fun!!  Sunday was no exception!!  I had also been planning for a very long while to make aprons for everyone - and this time I finally managed to do it!
Old friends are the best!

Cub Scout Pack Meeting this week - and it was our June Water Extravaganza!!  More accurately our June Water Balloon Extravaganza  - young boys + water balloons = a lot of fun!!

Isla got into the spirit of the event!!

We had a few planned events -  Water Balloon Dodge Ball, Water Balloon "Egg Toss" - but the biggest hit was just handing out the filled balloons and telling the boys to have at it!!

A wonderful time was had by all - next month - Raingutter Regatta - don't you wish you were a Cub Scout??

Latest Read

I have been cranking through the novels by Ivan Doig.  I may have to start reading his non-fiction too!

This is a World War II story - set at an Air Force base in Montana.  It is a little "grittier" than some of his other stories.  The profanity seems appropriate though - I imagine soldiers and pilots in stressful situations resorted to cursing on a pretty regular basis.  I'm not saying I'm a fan - my ears always feel "assaulted" when swearing occurs in print or in audio - but it is not gratuitous, nor is it endless.

The story is a little convoluted -and some "willing suspension of disbelief" has to occur.  It was a little slow getting started too.  But once the author gets into the story and hits his stride, the storyline becomes compelling.

I finally found Ride With Me, Mariah Montana at the library in Temple City, so I'm excited to start that - I will have finished the trilogy then.

And he has a new novel coming out in August!!

Lots of reading material for me!!

Now I need to figure out how to take a trip to Montana!
