This is a favorite photo of mine from Eliza and Matt's wedding reception. Karan is flanked by Bruce and Dalene.
We've known Karan since we first moved to Monrovia 30 years ago. Bonny and Harry had her as their 4th grade teacher. Karan would call me and say, "I had a moment of deja vu as Bonny came skipping into class today with her flaxen ringlets bouncing up and down!" (apparently Karan was a towhead - who sometimes had ringlets!)Over the years we have maintained a relationship with Karan. Phoebe was the only Terrill who didn't have her as a teacher. And I enjoyed working with her on the faculty at Clifton when she taught there. Also, she is always there at the annual Ides of March party - that practically makes her an honorary Terrill. (I recall being a bit nervous about inviting her the first time - and was so relieved when she replied, "I wondered if I would be honored with an invitation!! Put me down for an enthusiastic yes!)
